These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hour Pixel (the "Service"), a service of Renwick Ventures ("Hour Pixel," "we," "our," or "us") accessible at hourpixel.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Hour Pixel is a time-tracking and invoicing tool for freelancers and small businesses. Features include tracking billable hours, managing clients and projects, generating invoices, estimating taxes, and optionally syncing a scheduling calendar with Google Calendar.

The Service is currently offered as a beta product, provided free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future; existing users will be given notice before any change affects them.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you enter into the Service: clients, projects, time entries, expenses, invoices, and any files you upload (such as logos). You grant Hour Pixel a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process this data solely to operate the Service for you.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the data you enter, including client information and invoice content.

6. Tax estimates

Tax estimates provided by the Service are calculated from publicly available 2026 tax brackets and are intended as informational guides only. They are not professional tax advice. Your actual tax liability will differ based on deductions, credits, filing status, and other factors not modeled by the Service. Always consult a qualified tax professional before filing.

7. Invoices

Invoices generated by the Service are legal documents you issue to your clients. You are responsible for their content, accuracy, and compliance with tax and invoicing regulations in your jurisdiction. Hour Pixel is not a party to the commercial relationship between you and your clients.

The Service integrates with third-party products including Google Firebase, Google Calendar, Resend, and the Bank of Canada API. Your use of those integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, behaviour, or the consequences of changes they make.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases involving abuse, security, or legal requirements.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. You may request export or deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hour Pixel and Renwick Ventures shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service shall not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hour Pixel and Renwick Ventures from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
